All About Birmans: Cat Breeders and Birman Kittens for Sale

According to the CFA, the Birman is thought to have originally come from Burma, where the breed is considered sacred. The first Birmans were shipped to France in 1919 and recognized as a breed a few years later. Although the breed almost disappeared during World War II, today these loving cats can be found all over the world.

Birman cats are loved as much for their gentle disposition as their beautiful light-colored coats and striking glass-like eyes. Birmans can be playful and active at certain times, but quiet “lap sitters” at others. They’re great friends to have around!
